We worked with a Fortune Global 500 ranked company on one of their clients within the Healthcare and Nutrition Sector. Their client is one of the world's largest fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) manufacturers with many notable food and beverage brands in the global market.

Apart from this, the brand focuses on providing nutritional solutions through advanced technologies and research & development to help accelerate innovation with the FMCG sector. We worked with a team behind one of these ambitious ventures; a program that allows to support healthcare personnel in managing their patients’ nutrition in their home and community.

Client's need & challenges

Previously, our client's platform was built entirely from the Magento V1 framework. They wished to enhance the functionalities on their platform by migrating to Magento V2 while keeping their previous datasets intact. The client encountered several challenges on their pursuit to optimise their online platform.

Key among these was the need to streamline the user experience for healthcare professionals while adhering to stringent data privacy regulations. Additionally, they aimed to implement unique pricing structures based on user logins, a feature which was absent on their previous platform.

Their primary goal was to enhance user engagement and sales conversion rates, driving revenue growth in the highly competitive healthcare market. However, navigating these challenges while ensuring compliance and innovation required strategic planning and collaboration.

Collaborative Process

Their team included an architect, developer, CD, business analyst and CTO from Australia and New Zealand. The client required both front-end and back-end developers with proficiency in the Magento framework from Swivel Tech to work remotely on this project.

Magento development is a challenging scope as it involves complex ecommerce management. Likewise, the team encountered several obstacles whilst working on this project. One of the key issues was managing the difference in time zones. Despite this, the team managed to conclude a project that would take approximately 1 and a half years within 12 months.

Thus, the collaborative journey between us and our clients was characterised by seamless communication, strategic planning, and unwavering commitment to success. Owing to the success of the team’s efforts, the client further extended their requirement for this project and collaborated on another initiative.
